Tansania Partnerschaftsgruppe
Partnerschaft zwischen Hamburg-Lurup und Ludilu, einem Dorf in den tansanischen Livingstone Bergen
Seit 1982 besuchen sich regelmäßig Einzelpersonen bzw. Gruppen gegenseitig. 1987 beschlossen die Kirchenvorstände der ev.-luth. Kirchengemeinde Ludilu und die ev.-luth Auferstehungs-kirchengemeinde Hamburg-Lurup eine partnerschaftliche Beziehung zu pflegen. Menschen in beiden Gemeinden hatten in dieser Zeit Gelegenheit, das Leben und die Kultur der Anderen kennenzulernen. Anfang 2000 wurde der Verein Süd-Nord-Partnerschaften gegründet, der im Auftrag der Hamburger Kirchengemeinde die Partnerschaft pflegt.
Hauptanliegen des Vereins ist die Dorfentwicklung in Ludilu. Daneben werden auch andere Projekte in der Region gefördert.
- Erwachsenen- und insbesondere Jugendaustauschprogramme für die gesamte Region in Hamburg und Lupila;
- Projekte des Kirchenkreises wie z.B. die Tankstelle in Lupila;
- Errichtung von Häusern bzw. neuen Dächern für Waisen in den umliegenden Dörfern
- jährlich 4.000 € für den Stipendienfonds der Sekundarschule Lupila;
- Förderung von Projekten der Sekundarschule Lupila: Solaranlagen, Herde für die zentrale Küche, Hostel für die Internatschüler, Lernzentrum;
- Zuschüsse für Solaranlagen der Sekundarschule Ipeppo.
Projects in Ludilu are open to people from across Ukinga.
Children from other villages also live in the orphanage, for example from Nkwenzulu and Mdandu.
The Niulige training center is open to all young people from the region.
Young people from other villages also receive scholarships for vocational training.
The hydroelectric power plant planned by UNIDO will provide electricity for several villages.
Help with the livelihood of orphans and other people in need
60 people have sponsored an orphan. This fund also supports other people in need of help, a total of almost 150. Diaconia helpers visit these people regularly and are therefore aware of their individual needs. The fund is too small to provide everyone with a bed, mattress and blanket. More sponsors are being sought. The group “Dancing for Tanzania” and the One World Shop also support diaconal work. The children are supported until they complete primary school and, if necessary, during their four years of secondary school education or craft training. This ends the sponsorship obligation.
Training outside of Ludilus is funded individually upon application if the local church council supports the application as being beneficial for village development. These training grants are not covered by the orphan fund. This requires special donations. Goods for everyday needs (rice, salt, soap, school materials, blankets, beds, mattresses) and also hospital treatment are purchased from the orphan fund, but the available funds are often not sufficient for this.
